Roughly 3 × 3 in. on a stock panel, and closer to 2.5 in. square for embroidery. Move up to the chest just above the pocket, and you get about 4.5 × 4.5 in. You have more options if you choose the fully custom route.

We embroider pockets directly, and on a fully custom run the panel gets stitched while it is still a flat piece of fabric, so nothing gets sealed shut. We can also weave or embroider the whole panel, which makes the pocket itself the logo.

On the panel keeps the mark tied to the pocket and reads as a deliberate design detail, with about 3 × 3 in. to work in. Above it opens up to roughly 4.5 × 4.5 in. and clears the seam. Stock pockets are not always sewn dead square, so a print sitting directly on one can follow that angle. We check alignment during sampling and adjust before production. If a program mixes pocket and plain tees, the right chest gives identical positioning across every shirt.

That combination is one of our most requested builds. A pocket-scale mark on the front with full artwork across the back reads as retail merch rather than promotional apparel, and we add sleeve hits, hem flags, and inside-neck branding on the same run.

Pockets fail at the top corners first, where a thumb catches the edge going in. We bar-tack both corners, run double-needle hems, and tape the shoulders so the panel stays square. On a stock blank the corner reinforcement is whatever the manufacturer specified.

Patch panels with square edges and flat seams. Because the panel gets sewn on after the body is finished, we decorate it while it lies flat, which holds registration and keeps the pocket open. Rounded corners and set-in panels are harder to register on, so we push the mark to the chest above the pocket or switch to embroidery.
