Fitted hats are sized to specific head circumferences. If desired, Anthem can run a sample round in your most common sizes so you can confirm fit and crown shape before committing to full quantities. We can also recommend size distributions based on average head sizes.

What’s the difference between a fitted hat and an adjustable hat for a group order?
Fitted hats are sized (you order specific head sizes), and each recipient gets the one that fits. Adjustable hats use a snapback, velcro, or buckle closure and fit a range of heads. Fitted hats look cleaner and more premium, but you need to provide a size breakdown before production. Adjustable hats are simpler for unknown groups, like event giveaways and trade show traffic.
Can I mix fitted hat sizes in a single order?
Yes. Most fitted programs ship a mix of S/M/L/XL or numeric sizing from 6 3⁄8 to 8. We help you figure out the size mix during our consultation.
What’s the difference between a structured and unstructured fitted hat?
A structured fitted hat has buckram backing inside the front panels, so the crown holds a stiff, upright shape. An unstructured fitted hat has no backing and sits more softly against the head. Structured caps display screen-printed graphics better. Unstructured caps feel broken-in from day one.
What logo file format works best for fitted hat embroidery?
Vector files are best: AI, EPS, or PDF with editable paths. Bring Pantone or hex color references if possible. If your logo is a raster file or needs to be rebuilt for stitching, our logo design team can prep it before production.

How do I know my fitted hat size?
Wrap a flexible measuring tape around your head about an inch above your ears, where the cap sits. That circumference in inches maps to a fitted hat size: roughly 21 1⁄4 inches is a 6 3⁄4, 22 inches is a 7, 22 3⁄4 inches is a 7 1⁄4, and so on up the scale. Measure twice and round up to the nearest eighth if you land between sizes.

How do I shrink a fitted hat?
A fitted hat that runs a half-size large can be shrunk at home with hot water, steam, or a short tumble dry. Wool and cotton respond best, while performance poly and structured caps with buckram backing require a different approach. What is the turnaround time for custom fitted hat orders?
Turnaround depends on whether you decorate an off-the-shelf fitted hat with your logo or build a fully custom one. Either way, we work fast.
Decorated blanks are the quick path: production runs about 2 weeks plus shipping, which makes them the best option for tight deadlines.
Fully custom fitted hats take longer because they include a sampling round and full production from raw materials. Plan on 2 to 4 months, depending on your shipping method:
- Air shipping: 2 to 2.5 months. About 3 weeks for the sample, 1 month for full production, and 2 weeks to ship.
- Ocean shipping: 3 to 4 months. About 3 weeks for the sample, 1 month for full production, and up to 3 months to ship.
International shipping is available.
What is your return policy?
We don’t accept returns on custom merchandise. Once we’ve made it, it’s yours to keep. We use digital/physical samples and a collaborative design process to guarantee custom products turn out exactly as you imagined.
