While our roots are firmly planted in golf, our passions extend far beyond the course. We come from a lineage of golfers, craftsmen, and artists, but our interests now encompass a wide range of activities such as surfing, skiing, hiking, yoga, traveling, cooking, parenting, and even dog walking. We believe that these everyday pursuits offer valuable insights into who we are.

The name ​“Linksoul” originates from the term ​“links soul,” reflecting the deep connection we discovered through our years on the golf course — a connection we now seek in everything we do.

Linksoul is about more than just clothing; it’s about challenging the status quo and operating as a socially and environmentally responsible company within our community. Our headquarters, the Linksoul Lab on Pacific Coast Highway in Oceanside, CA, serves as both a design center and a community hub where we host art shows, concerts, benefits, workshops, and screen local documentaries.

We also took on the task of saving our local municipal golf course, Goat Hill Park. After taking over the course in 2014, we spent two years revitalizing and redesigning ​“The Goat” into a model for natural, accessible public golf courses across the country.

Linksoul was co-founded by John Ashworth and his nephew, Geoff Cunningham, in collaboration with a talented group of family and friends. After decades in the men’s lifestyle clothing industries, particularly in golf and surfing, we grew tired of the corporate grind and decided to chart our own course. Our new guiding principle is ​“Tempus Fugit.”

“Tempus Fugit” is Latin for ​“Time Flies.” At Linksoul, how we spend our time is of utmost importance. We believe that enjoying our lives enhances our work, and vice versa. For us, a perfect day includes time spent with family and friends, time in nature, creating things with our hands, and physical exercise. A life filled with these kinds of days is a life well-lived. While our focus has expanded beyond golf, it remains an essential part of our Fridays.
