Introducing Our Marketing Intern Graciela Robertson #NationalInternDay

In honor of #NationalInternDay we wanted to introduce our amazing marketing intern Graciela Robertson!

Graciela Robertson

Q: Where are you from originally? And what’s your favorite thing about your hometown?

A: I was born and raised in Aspen, Colorado. I think my favorite thing about my hometown are the blue cheese and grilled chicken burgers from 520 Grill, and ogling at the scenery. One of my favorite pastimes is to get a bottle of sparkling wine and a picnic blanket and sit outside of the Benedict Music Tent to listen to the classical music. A local hack is to rarely buy tickets, but to sit outside on the lovely grass and listen.

Q: Where do you go to school and what is your major?

A: I am about to be a senior at CU Boulder, in pursuit of my bachelors in Strategic Communication with an emphasis in Media Design, and a minor in Sociology. I actually went to Boston University my first year, and I came into college undecided, 18 years young and honestly, I just felt a little lost. I transferred to CU my sophomore year, due to financial decisions, and I enrolled in CMCI. I have loved every moment within all my APRD classes, and I’ve made some of my best friends within my major and learned so much about the industry.

Q: Favorite thing to do in Boulder?

A: One of my favorite things to do in Boulder is to go tubing down Boulder creek or enjoy at day at the Buff pool, and then end the day with a Blueberry cone at Heifer and the Hen. Heifer and the Hen is such a low key spot in Boulder that not many people know about. They actually use real milk and eggs in their ice cream, and it makes my heart so full and happy.

Q: What is your favorite thing about interning at Anthem?

A: My favorite thing about interning at Anthem thus far has been working for such a innovative employer. Anthem has provided me with learning experiences that will allow for my own professional development within my upcoming career. I am so grateful for this opportunity, and working for an incredibly experienced and talented group of dedicated people. I have absolutely loved having the opportunity to collaborate with Jordan to execute effective marketing strategies and content. We’ve worked really well together, and I hold her so close to my heart.

Q: Most valuable thing you have learned in your internship so far?

A: The most valuable thing that I have learned in my internship has been the gratification of my current career choices. I have fallen deeply in love with the advertising and branding industry, and I think that advertising can be one of the most influential global forces. This internship has made me more passionate about my studies, and is leaving me inspired for my upcoming career within the industry.

Q: Favorite brand and why?

A: Levis! I am one of the biggest Levis girls. I love everything about their classic, trustworthy products and their brand history. They have become a staple within an all American wardrobe, and have positioned themselves as an iconic symbol of American culture - despite the fact that their founder was a Bavarian immigrant. Everyone looks good in a pair of Levis!
