Q: What is your favorite part of your job?

A: There isn't just one favorite part! I can honestly say that for the first time in my entire career, I feel like I'm where I should be doing and what I should be doing with hardworking, extremely sharp, and incredibly talented people. This is my first role at an agency and the acceptance of and appreciation for creative thinking is remarkably refreshing. This is something that is far too often merely lip service. So I guess that all boils down to the Anthem culture; that's my favorite part if I had to pick just one thing.

Q: Who had the most influence over you?

A: I'd have to say that my grandmother was the most influential person to me growing up. She was among the first wave of women to join the U.S. Marine Corps making her way up the ranks as a sergeant serving in WWII; talk about setting the bar pretty high!

Simply put, she was instrumental in shaping my character of which I am forever grateful. I can also make a bed that would be USMC approved!

Q: What color best represents your personality and how does that color make you feel?

A: Dark green -- it makes me feel grounded, healthy, and balanced but reminds me to never stop growing and learning.

Q: How would your best friends or family describe you in three words?

A: Genuine, kind, and creative.

Q: What is your favorite activity to do locally and why?

A: Colorado offers endlessly amazing activities! I would say my favorite is attending maker fairs and markets that showcase local artists' work and handmade crafts. A big crafter myself (I may or may not have two craft rooms at home...), I love to see what's trending and it's a great way to meet other crafty folk. With Colorado being such a transplant state -- so many residents moved here from another state -- it brings diversity to the style of art brought to these kinds of events.

Q: What is your favorite local restaurant?

A: Any of Justin Cucci's restaurants, but my most favorite is Linger. Not only is the concept of an "eatuary" pun-tastic since the building was previously an actual mortuary, but it's a great reuse of the space and creative way to incorporate a unique look and feel.

Rather than focusing on just one kind cuisine, Linger offers tastes from around the world with dishes from Asia (those pork belly bao buns are something out of this world), Africa, the Middle East, and of course, America. If you haven't experienced Linger yet, don't wait any longer!

Q: Best concert you have ever attended?

A: I'm going to sound like a teenage girl, but the 2015 Death Cab for Cutie show at Red Rocks is my favorite concert I've attended. I've been a fan of the band since the early days, but never saw them perform live, and that tour did not disappoint. It took me back to when I was 16 when #adulting was (seemingly) far, far off and things were a lot simpler. Plus, when you see any band at Red Rocks, it's a magical experience. The two combined? Epic.

Q: What is your favorite place in the world?

A: This one is a tie: either Portland, Oregon or Cape Town, South Africa. Both are incredibly rich places full of incredible natural beauty and a strong sense of artistic culture. Plus, I can never too far form a mountain range!

Q: Favorite podcast?

Easy, S-Town, by Serial and This American Life. As a journalist, writer, and currently a content marketer, the level of storytelling, investigation, and reporting in S-Town is remarkable.

Runner's up include Dirty John, Dr. Death, TED Radio Hour, How I Built This, Broken Harts, Reply All, Up & Vanished, The Moth, This American Life, and Story Corps. Podcasts are kinda my jam.

Q: Secret talent?

A: My husband tells me that I have a bionic sense of smell. I'm not certain that is a talent? I'm also a world class shuffleboard player, just sayin'.
