Meet Anne Robertson —our spunky senior account manager at Anthem Branding and our go-to girl

Q: What is your favorite part of your job?

A: I love collaborating and solving problems creatively. Also, it's amazing to work with such talented designers and brands I admire. They make it so easy to make cool products.

Q: Who had the most influence over you?

A: This is a tough one as so many people have influenced me in so many ways. But I have to say my mom. When my brother and I were little she went to work while my dad was the stay-at-home parent. This wasn’t all that common at the time, but it never seemed unusual to me. I’m grateful that she wasn’t like other moms. She still works to instill in my brother and I that we should be doing things for ourselves and not to make our parents proud or anyone else for that matter. Even though she is proud of us, she never makes us work for it and she didn’t care what other people thought. Oh, and she gives the best advice, which seems obvious given her other strengths.

Q: What color best represents your personality and how does that color make you feel?

A: I wear a lot of black, but my favorite color is green. I’m not sure how a color can represent a personality, but I feel purple represents me best. I like to think I'm very mysterious...

Q: How would your best friends or family describe you in three words?

A: I was told: witty, perceptive, and adventurous.

Q: What is your favorite activity to do locally and why?

A: I like museums and the botanic gardens. I particularly like the MCA; it’s a nice size and always has new and interesting exhibits. The Clifford Still Museum is a pretty underrated museum. It’s all one artist who only did abstract expressionism on a large scale. It's very impressive. I also like to go outside, but I think that goes without saying in these parts.

Q: What is your favorite local restaurant?

A: There are so many restaurants I love in Boulder. Ephrains II has unmatched margaritas and Mexican food. River and Woods has the best mushroom ravioli I’ve ever had and I've loved everything I've tried there.

Q: Best concert you have ever attended?

A: I got the opportunity to see Prince at The Ogden when he did this tour of intimate shows in 2013. It was truly amazing. They were incredibly strict about cell phone usage so I don’t have a single image of what happened. It feels like a dream. I cried during Purple Rain, like every other person in that audience. The best part though, was what he yelled at the crowd at the height of his set. I was one of the younger people in attendance by a ways and everyone was going nuts. He was pulling even more women on stage during each songs, which were truly hit after hit. Unlike his backup dancers most of them were older and after so many bangers they were visibly tired. Since they were on stage WITH Prince they all soldiered on but he definitely noticed and smirked and said, “Come on ladies, I can do this all night! You know how many hits I got?!” It was awesome. I wish it had never ended.

Q: Favorite Netflix shows to binge watch?

A: 30 Rock, Parks & Recreation, and The Office. I love them all equally and rotate often.

Q: Where's your favorite place in the world?

A: New Orleans. It’s a magical place and I try to make the pilgrimage at least once a year. It has delicious seafood, incredible live music, and the nicest people. It's a very cool place with a really fascinating history and infectious culture.

Q: Secret talent?

A: I don’t know if it’s a secret or a talent, but recently I’ve been getting into Tarot cards and readings. I’ve only been doing it for my friends and myself, but the results have been spookily accurate and very interesting. I love reading about the history of the images on the original cards and getting new decks with artistic interpretations of their meanings. It’s been a lot of fun interpreting how they fit into the events and lives of whoever I’m reading.
